About the National Occupational Standards Explorer

e-skills UK set and manage the NOS for IT Users and for IT and Telecoms Professionals. Occupational standards describe the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to undertake a particular task or job to a nationally recognised level of competence.

The new 2009 NOS for IT User were approved for use with effect from 1 April 2009. They are available at http://nos2008.e-skills.com/.

The new 2009 NOS for IT and Telecoms Professionals have been submitted for approval, and further information should be available by the end of August 2009.

In the meantime, the 2004 NOS for IT and Telecoms Professionals, and the old 2003 NOS for IT User, are available here.
